Hastings Fruit & Veg has new owners Megan Harris and Brian Wright and all fruit and veg comes with a free smile! Brian has been in produce for 16 years as the manager of Woolies @ Lake Cathie and Settlement City and when the opportunity came up to purchase the High Street fruit and veg business, he didn't hesitate. The store has been in Wauchope for over 20 years and Brian and Megan are looking forward to growing new customers with good old fashioned service along with exceptional quality fruit and vegetables.

'If someone needs a little help selecting the ripest, or sweetest or BEST, we are here to assist'.

Megan and Brian are also building fresh relationships with Wauchope and its surrounding local producers to keep things local and lovely. For any produce that can not be sourced locally, the dynamic duo tag team trips down to Newcastle to hand select the best and freshest fruits and vegetables personally.

Brian’s favourite are the unwaxed Pink Lady apples which they stock for their crisp clean taste.

Megan’s favourite fruit is a vegetable. ‘My fav is tomatoes cut fresh on a sandwich or even just by itself.'

The team also have a fridge full of organic and healthy vegan dips including Israeli hommus.

Megan tipped us off that 'Brian usually keeps some fresh fruit samples in the fridge for those hot days or when you are shopping with kids - just ask!
